Purpose of the Fund
Established by
Don and Judy Mathre, this fund supports general education/outreach related projects that help to expand the reach of innovative and important plant pathology education programs.
(Examples include publishing content in the APS Education Center, assistance in re-formatting educational material for electronic use, supporting high school/college biology teachers or university professors to learn new skills, and/or outreach to high schools or undergraduate students and teachers).

Amount: $2,000 (1)
Deadline to apply: February 28, 2026
Eligibility
Current APS membership is required both at time of application and upon receipt of funds.
Application Requirements

Letter of intent (2 page maximum) describing how the funds will be utilized.

CV (2 page maximum) that includes the applicant's experience and publications.

Letter of Support (1) To be submitted separately by the letter writer using the Letter of Recommendation Form by the submission deadline.
Submission Deadline
Save all required materials (except for the Letter of Support) into one PDF document prior to submitting your application. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed or considered for funding.
