New Networking Events & Opportunities!

Micro-Communities

We know you miss the electricity and sense of community that comes from networking onsite at the APS Meeting. That’s why we created a new, informal networking forum with our Micro-Communities for Plant Health 2021 Online.

Throughout the meeting (but more specifically during the times listed below), our new proximity-based networking platform Wonder will be open for you and your micro-community to come together in an open networking forum to discuss learnings, share best practices, and make new connections. We are hoping you will forge lasting business relationships that will help you as you go forward this year and beyond!

While Wonder will be open 24/7, please join your group during the scheduled virtual meet ups:

  • Thursday (7/29) from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. CDT
  • Tuesday (8/3) from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. CDT
  • Thursday (8/5) from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. CDT.

You can familiarize yourself with the Wonder networking platform by watching this short intro video. Note: If you opted out of participating in micro-communities when you registered but now want to join in, contact us at apsmeeting@scisoc.org and we’ll get you plugged into an open group!

Visit the Plant Health Hub

Plant Health Hub using Wonder- this is a chance for you to stop by Membership Central, chat with APS Council, Foundation, and learn what's new with the journals, or just meet up with fellow attendees.

New Networking Platform: Wonder

New this year is Wonder! This fabulously interactive tool gives you the virtual ability to walk around and meet other attendees. It's an all-new way to network! Look for networking times in the schedule and be sure to add them to your agenda.
