Plant Pathology Experiential Fund
​

The Plant Pathology Experiential fund provides support to ​promote career and research development experience and opportunities​ with organizations classified within industry and/or government. The purpose of this fund is to support professional development, learn about career opportunities and/or gain technical expertise in support of c​urrent research endeavors. ​​​This initiative was created in 2014 with seed funding from the Don and Judy Mathre Education Endowment and through the support of private sector companies.

  • $1,000 is available each year to APS members who are MS, PhD students, or postdoctoral scholars in plant pathology. The fund supports a short-term experience with a government or private organization to subsidize travel costs to the host organization​. ​
  • $4,000  is available every two years to academic departments for funding in support of an on-site visit to one or multiple non-academic organizations. ​
