FADI program discussion June 12 & 13
June 12-13, 2012, there will be a meeting (preliminary agenda attached) at the NIFA Waterfront Centre, 800 Ninth Street SW, Washington, DC, that will focus on the future of the three national networks (EDEN, NPDN, and NAHLN) that are supported, in part, by the USDA-NIFA Food and Agriculture Defense Initiative (FADI). The primary purposes of the meeting are to identify and prioritize those research, education, and extension/outreach/service issues that need to be addressed for each network in order to better support each of the networks, and to break ground on potential inter-network activities. Expected attendees include members of the Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN), the National Plant Diagnostic Network (NPDN), the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN), USDA-ARS, USDA-APHIS VS and PPQ, DHS, OSTP, relevant professional and commodity groups, and other interested individuals.
