What
The African Division is the regional representation of the American Phytopathological Society.
Who
Eligible members are those members of the APS who live in Africa, or who represent projects affiliated with Africa.
Why
1. Regional meeting. The African Division holds a virtual meeting every year.
2. Student Competition Awards. The African Division helps students who are members of the Division attend its annual meeting.
3. Early Career Award. The African Division recognizes early-career scientists for their contribution to discovery, learning, and/or engagement in plant pathology in research, extension, teaching, and/or industry. .
4. Distinguished Service Award. The African Division is proud to honor members who show exemplary commitment, leadership and service to plant pathology and the African Division. The contributions may be in research, teaching, extension, or any other aspect of plant pathology in either an academic or nonacademic environment.
