The Headquarters Operations Committee (HOC) is responsible for matters pertaining to the high-level strategy and operation of the headquarters building and its staff, including oversight responsibility for the activities of the chief executive officer.
The committee is comprised of the APS treasurer, president, president-elect, and immediate past president, plus four representative officers from the Cereals & Grains Association.
The chair of the committee is rotated annually between the two societies, with the immediate past president of APS serving as HOC chair in odd-numbered years.
