How can I renew?
You can renew online, by telephone, or through mail or fax when invoiced. The easiest way to renew is online. When your membership term is up for renewal, you will receive an e-mail with a unique link directing you to your personal online renewal form. You can also renew by contacting Denise Kessler at +1.651.994.3806. Members in the U.S. can call toll free at 1.800.481.2698.

How can I join a Division and what will it offer me?
APS Divisions are one of the best ways to stay connected with your colleagues in the plant health field. Divisions hold annual meetings and often sponsor additional meetings as well as conferences and symposia. To join a Division, contact Denise Kessler by email or +1.651.994.3806.

How can I receive information on the annual meeting?
The APS Meeting website provides information on the current meeting and includes an area to sign up for meeting updates. If you have specific questions regarding the meeting, call APS Headquarters at +1.651.454.7250 and ask for the APS Meetings Department.

If I subscribe to an online journal, how do I access it?
When your subscription information has been processed, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to APS Journals Online. To access your online subscription, you will need to sign in on the APS Journals home page with your username and password. If you would like to receive e-mail notification when a new issue has been posted, you may sign up for Table of Contents alerts in “My Profile.”

Do I get a discount if I purchase books?
Yes, members receive a 10% discount on all book purchases.

How do I access the bookstore?
The APS PRESS bookstore is located on the APS website under APS Store.

What kind of funding does the APS Foundation provide?

How do I publish in an APS journal?
Manuscripts can be submitted electronically via Manuscript Central; each journal has its own unique site for manuscript submission. Links to Manuscript Central as well as author guidelines can be found at http://apsjournals.apsnet.org/.

Can I submit material for Phytopathology News?
Yes, materials may be submitted online.

I am from a developing country and our library has limited resources, can APS provide journals, books, and/or slide sets to help my research?
No, but the Office of International Programs Library Assistance Program provides APS publications to developing country libraries and institutions which do not have access or cannot afford to pay subscription fees. Visit the OIP area to learn more.

I'm looking for recent research on a specific subject, what's the best way to find it?
APS journal articles are available online from the 1997 volumes forward to current issues. You have the option of searching abstracts from any combination of APS journals through the APS website search capabilities, where you can choose to search only the APS Journals.

I am considering finding a new position in plant pathology, is there a way to be updated on recent job postings?
APS has an online Job Center. Visit this area to search the current job listings and sign up for bi-weekly job email alerts.

I'm giving a presentation on plant pathology to a group of middle school students in my hometown; do you have any resources I could provide the students or teacher?
APS staff can provide you with APS posters, pencils, and career brochures. If you need a display for a booth at a science fair or similar event, APS staff can send you the display that is designed for this purpose. A wealth of educational materials is also available on the APS Education Center.
