​Honorary Awards

​APS honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the science of plant pathology or to the society itself. We invite you​ to familiarize yourself with the various APS awards and nominate someone whom you feel deserves special recognition and is reflective of the APS core values and overall diversity within APS.​​​​

2024 APS Award Ceremony

The award ceremonies​ will be part of Plant Health 2024​. The Fellow award ceremony is on Sunday, July 28 during the Opening Keynote and the Excellence and Named award ceremony is on Tuesday, July 30 during the Plenary session. 

The formal APS awardee announcement will be included in the June 2024 issue of Phytopathology News.

• Award nominations for 2025 will open in September 2024 and close on December 1, 2024
  
• The APS President​ will notify those receiving an APS award typically​ in February or early March 
  
• Official APS award announcement featured in either May or June issue of Phytopathology News.​
  
• A​​ward ceremony is held during the APS annual meeting.
