Abstract Presenter Registration Deadline

Presenters of an Oral presentation and/or Poster MUST register by June 10, 2022 or the abstract will be withdrawn from the meeting.​ Presenters of Late-breaking Posters MUST register by June 30, 2022.

​*Technical Support Staff must have faculty endorsement to qualify for this rate. Registrants will need to provide faculty contact information when registering and if APS is not able to confirm​ eligibility for this rate by July 17, 2022, registrants will automatically be moved to and charged the applicable rate for their current APS membership class. Presenters of abstracts (either oral or poster​) at Plant Health 2022 are not eligible for this rate.

**Each exhibiting company is entitled to​ o​ne (1) complimentary registration. Additional exhibitors must pay the full exhibitor rate.​

***By joining APS with your meeting registration, you will receive the member registration rate PLUS one year of APS professional, early career, or student membership (valued at $91, $62, and $38 respectively). ​Guest Information

Guests must register for the meeting​ and purchase a ticket to attend the final night celebration​. Guest are not allowed in session rooms or in the exhibit hall. All guests must also provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR as outlined in our Health & Safety Policy. The Guest designation is for social guests attending in a non-business capacity. Business associates and colleagues are not considered guests and must register for the full meeting. ​

David L Lawrence Convention Center Update 

We were recently notified that the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and VIsitPittsburgh, the city’s convention and visitors’ bureau, have partnered with Convention News Television (CNTV) to provide prom​otional content for the city of Pittsburgh during Plant Health 2022. As a result, CNTV will be filming in the indoor and outdoor public areas of the convention center during our annual meeting. We have spoken with them to ensure that they will work solely within the public areas, and will not be filming any of our Plant Health or APS signage, badges, or marketing materials. They will not be filming in any of our contracted space including session rooms or the Plant Health Hub.


Cancellation/Refund Policy

Registration cancellations MUST be made in writing and received no later than July 1, 2022. Cancellations received by this date are subject to a $100 processing fee. Registration cancellations received after July 1, 2022, are NOT subject to a refund. At any time, you may transfer your registration to another member of your organization.

APS reserves the right to cancel the meeting if a sufficient number of registrations are not received by July 1, 2022. If Plant Health 2022 is cancelled, your registration fee will be refunded in full. In the event any portion of the meeting is cancelled, APS is not liable for nonrefundable airfares or ticket change penalties imposed by the airlines. By registering for this meeting, you agree to the cancellation and refund terms and conditions.

Accessibility and Accommodations       

APS strives to be accessible, inclusive and diverse in our facilities, programming and other offerings. Your experience in this event is important to us. If you have a disability (including but not limited to vision, mobility, hearing, physical or other health related), require communication access services for the deaf or hard of hearing, or believe that you require a reasonable accommodation for another reason we ask that you register by July 8, 2022, so APS can clarify, secure, and confirm necessary services or materials.  If you are unable to register by this date, but intend to register or if you have questions about accessibility at the event, please contact APS meetings as soon as possible.​

Onsite Safety Requirements

The health and well-being of our attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and staff is our top priority. Our policy aims to safeguard​ the health and safety of all Plant Health 2022 attendees and is based ​on guidelines from the CDC, our meeting location, and our event venue.

All attendees and guests who are participating in person must be fully vaccinated or provide a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of picking up your meeting badge. Vaccination cards must be uploaded to Safe Expo prior to the start of the meeting.​ Information on how to upload will be ​posted as the event draws closer.

All onsite ​Plant Health staff will be vaccinated.

​Attendees From Outside the United States

If you need to apply for a temporary non-immigrant visa to attend Plant Health 2022, you are advised to apply for your visa as soon as possible and no later than 3-4 months in advance. You will receive an invitation letter after your registration is complete, which may be submitted with your visa application to verify the name, dates, location, and purpose of Plant Health 2022. All applicants must be able to qualify for a visa on their own merits. APS​ cannot intervene with ​embassies in other countries on behalf of any meeting participants.​ Please visit the U.S. Visa website for official, up-to-date information. 

The U.S. Department of State encourages you to apply for your visa as soon as possible. Some consulates may have backlogs in scheduling visa interviews, so applicants should contact the consulate directly ​to determine wait times or visit ​the U.S. Visa website. If you have additional questions, please contact apsmeeting@scisoc.org​.​​

Expected Behavior Policy

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free meeting experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do​ not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. We ask all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, guests and other participants be considerate and respectful to all members and refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech. Please note, ​if you register a guest for the conference, you may be held responsible for the actions of the guest. Violations of this policy should be reported to meeting staff.

APS​ reserve the right to remove any individual from attendance or other participation in any APS sponsored event without prior warning or refund, and to take additional action as determined necessary, up to and including expulsion from participation in APS. Any course of action recommended by APS is final.
