Production and Maintenance of Conidia of Gremmeniella abietina. George W. Hudler, Department of Plant Pathology, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853. Guy R. Knudsen, and Mary Ann R. Beale, Department of Plant Pathology, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853. Plant Dis. 68:1065-1066. Accepted for publication 14 May 1984. Copyright 1984 The American Phytopathological Society. DOI: 10.1094/PD-68-1065.

Gremmeniella abietina produced abundant conidia when grown on V-8 juice agar amended with a variety of nutrients and vitamins, especially when cultures were incubated in the light at 1020 C. Germinability of conidia declined as cultures aged beyond 4 wk or as conidia were stored under water.
