Strawberry Virus Dissemination in Arkansas. J. P. Fulton, Professor, Department of Plant Pathology, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville 72701. B. J. A recent survey of commercial strawberry plantings in Arkansas revealed a low incidence of veinbanding virus and a much higher incidence of pallidosis virus. It is suggested that these viruses and indigenous and persist in hosts other than cultivated strawberry. Mottle virus, which formerly moved into virus-free plantings, has been eliminated by the regular release of virus-free plants.
