Hypocotyls of differential soybean (Glycine max) cultivars were inoculated to identify four new physiologic races of Phytophthora megasperma f. sp. glycinea (syn. P. megasperma var. sojae) that differ from races 116. These new physiologic races are proposed as races 1720.
