First Report of Verticicladiella procera on Pines in Minnesota. W. H. Livingston, Graduate Research Assistant, Department of Plant Pathology, University of Minnesota, St. Paul 55108. M. J. Wingfield, Graduate Research Assistant, Department of Plant Pathology, University of Minnesota, St. Paul 55108. Plant Dis. 66:260-261. Accepted for publication 26 October 1981. Copyright 1982 American Phytopathological Society. DOI: 10.1094/PD-66-260.

Verticicladiella procera was isolated from diffuse black streaking in roots of eastern white pine (Pinus strobus), red pine (P. resinosa), and for the first time from Austrian pine (P. nigra). The fungus appears to be no threat to trees growing on good sites in Minnesota.
