Nuclei of onion bulb scale inner epidermal cells moved toward wounds or penetration sites of Botrytis allii or Aspergillus niger, the orientation effect being appreciably greater with infection. Nuclei 2 cm or more from these influences were oriented as those in untreated tissue.
