The pA-132 probe, linked to the supernodulation (nts) locus of soybean, was generated as a random genomic Pstl insert. The insert, however, was not unique, and three Pstl fragments were detected in the probe. To clarify whether the three fragments were contiguous, we analyzed a genomic lambda clone as well as the segregation of the three inserts in an F population.
