Phytobiomes Journal Accepted by Scopus
 
Phytobiomes Journal has been accepted by Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. This will enhance the discoverability of Phytobiomes Journal when the journal’s metadata is uploaded later this year. All the APS journals are now included in this important index.

With a wide host range and an increasingly global presence, Xylella fastidiosa is an economic threat to crops worldwide. Bonants et al. assess the efficacy of a new diagnostic tool, a triplex TaqMan assay, in assisting with management strategies to manage diseases caused by X. fastidiosa.

Blacket et al.’s study of DNA extracted from potato cyst nematode (PCN) samples over an extended period suggests a single localized introduction of PCN into Victoria followed by a limited spread to nearby areas. The authors found that the Australian PCN is genetically distinct from populations previously sampled worldwide.
