The "Disease and Pest Management in the Landscape" workshop is scheduled for October 25.  This workshop is designed for commercial landscapers so sign up today!   NED-APS members can attend, but you must register through the link below (and only register for this workshoop if you do not plan on attending the concurrent NED-APS Friday morning meetings.

Seeking Members Active In Host Resistance Research!

Hotel Information:

The techncial issues on the Heritage Hotel website have been resolved! There are plenty of rooms still available and the hotel has lowered the nightly rate from $125 to $115 plus tax; this rate will apply to all NED-APS rooms - including those that have already been booked!

Graduate Student Presentation Award. Applications due September 16!

Call for Abstracts 
Deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended to Thursday, October 3.
You are invited to submit abstracts for the 2013 Northeastern Division Meeting.  Abstracts must be submitted online (click link below).  The $45 fee applies for your abstract to be published in a Phytopathology supplement issue and will be collected when you register for the meeting. 
We encourage graduate students to participate in the competition - please check the box "This paper is for the student paper competition" in the online submission form.  

Below are the instructions for submitting your abstract:

2) Enter Username and Password (call APS Headquarters toll free at 1-800-481-2698 if you have forgotten it or need assistance)
3)  Click Submit button
4)  Enter presentation type, title and abstract
5)  Add presenter and author information
6) You will receive an e-mail notification that your abstract has been submitted.

Pre-meeting Tours
USDA Forest Service Quarantine Facility in Ansonia, CT. 
The facility hosts research on invasive species, including Asian Longhorned Beetle, nun moth, and non-native predators and parasites of hemlock wooly adelgid and elongate hemlock scale.
