The theme for this year's meeting was “Teaching Plant Pathology: Challenges and Opportunities”. Over 2 days, we shared an interesting program of presentations and workshops focused on effectively teaching plant pathology virtually.

Careers 101 Workshop: CVs

Whether applying for a job in academia, industry, or government, a professional curriculum vita is critical. This workshop will provide students and early career professionals with experience in creating and tailoring CVs for different positions. An after-hours session will be offered to students who wish to have their CVs reviewed by workshop experts.

Workshop: Improving undergraduate plant biology education through distance learning resource development

This workshop is designed to recruit current and future plant pathology/plant health educators interested in building a network of support and resources to improve undergraduate teaching and laboratory experiences. We will discuss a recently submitted NSF grant proposal (RCN-UBE: Research Coordination Networks in Undergraduate Biology Education) to help fund this project and our vision for how we can build a sustainable community of educators.
