The theme for this year's meeting was “Teaching Plant Pathology: Challenges and Opportunities”. Over 2 days, we shared an interesting program of presentations and workshops focused on effectively teaching plant pathology virtually.

ePoster Presentations​

ePosters can be comprised of two elements  - a PDF of the poster* and a 3-minute video summary if you choose to create one.

  • Your poster should be self-explanatory so that you are free to supplement and discuss particular points raised by inquiry
  • The video summary should detail enough that the audience gets a good idea of what your poster is about, including a brief introduction with an explanation of various sections of your poster.

Careers 101 Workshop: CVs
1:00 - 3:00 PM CDT 

Whether applying for a job in academia, industry, or government, a professional curriculum vita is critical. This workshop will provide students and early career professionals with experience in creating and tailoring CVs for different positions. An after-hours session will be offered to students who wish to have their CVs reviewed by workshop experts.

Workshop: Improving undergraduate plant biology education through distance learning resource development
1:00 - 2:00 PM CDT 

This workshop is designed to recruit current and future plant pathology/plant health educators interested in building a network of support and resources to improve undergraduate teaching and laboratory experiences. We will discuss a recently submitted NSF grant proposal (RCN-UBE: Research Coordination Networks in Undergraduate Biology Education) to help fund this project and our vision for how we can build a sustainable community of educators.​​

Join your NC-APS colleagues for the official business meeting led by the NC​-APS Executive Committee to review the Division business and hear an update from APS Council.
