Driscoll’s uses a comprehensive testing regime that includes graft indexing, ELISA and PCR to make sure our berries are virus-free. We are studying high throughput sequencing as a new diagnostic technology as well as to meet future international export requirements. As an industry member, we will discuss the advantages, the challenges, and the future needs when using HTS for virus discovery.
