2017 APS Annual Meeting: Hotel Information
All 2017 APS Annual Meeting activities will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Selected small meetings may be also scheduled for the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. Meeting locations will be published in on-site materials.
The APS Hotel Group Rates will be available until June 30 or until the room blocks are full, whichever comes first. APS discounted rates will ONLY be available by clicking the BOOK NOW button below which takes you to the authorized APS housing page. The APS housing page will allow you view amenities for all hotel selections.You must make your hotel reservation through Orchid Events. Hotel reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served, space available basis. Submit your request as soon as possible for the best opportunity of receiving your hotel choice.
All reservations must be received by July 11, 2017 to guarantee availability and conference rates. After this date, reservations will be based on availability and hotels may charge higher rates. APS discounted rates will ONLY be available by clicking the BOOK NOW button below which takes you to the authorized APS housing page overseen by Orchid Events.
Ways to Book Hotel Reservations
Online: For new reservations OR to modify or cancel an existing hotel reservation
All reservation requests must be accompanied by a credit card guarantee or check equaling the amount of one night’s room and tax for each room reserved. Your credit WILL NOT BE CHARGED during this initial stage and will be held as a GUARANTEE only.
Orchid Events will send reservation acknowledgements within 24 hours via email if booked online or by telephone. If you do not receive your acknowledgement in this time frame, contact Orchid Events. You will not receive a written confirmation from the hotel.
Cancellations & Changes
The confirmed hotel will charge a cancellation fee of a “one night’s room & tax” for cancellations received less than 72 hours prior to arrival date and no shows. The hotel may charge a fee for early departures.Through July 11, 2017 send requests for changes and cancellations in writing to Orchid Events via email or fax to 801-355-0250, After July 11, 2017 contact hotels directly to make changes and cancellations.

There are three hotels holding the APS group rate. The Grand Hyatt San Antonio, the Menger Hotel and the La Quinta Inn & Suite (San Antonio Riverwalk). Booking a room at a contracted hotel under the official APS room block benefits you and supports APS. When you "book within the block," you help keep the meeting registration fees lower, you help APS secure future meeting sites and you enable APS to provide important features that participants have come to enjoy. Please book responsibly.

Please book your hotel only through the link listed above. DO NOT book through outside agents claiming to represent APS. There are no third-party companies authorized by APS to book your hotel accommodations. These companies may be offering hotel rates that are above/below the APS-discounted rates published on the APS Annual Meeting website. No one should be calling you to make hotel reservations. No one can book hotel rooms at rates lower than APS-contracted rates over APS Annual Meeting dates at APS-designated hotels.
These organizations may ask for full payment up front. Please also be advised that once you sign any agreements (i.e., credit card authorization forms), APS cannot guarantee that a room will be available to you.
