When finding a lab for your post-doc, should you chose a subject very similar to the research you would like to do for the rest of your career or something different to gain new skills sets and/or to not have to worry about competing with your past advisors for funding in the future? Do you only look for posted post-doc position or do you contact professors with whom you are interested in working and see if they would be interested? Thank you!

What are good methods for preparing for an interview? What can you do to stand out during an interview? How do you address any shortcomings while still appearing confident? What is the best interviewing advice you've ever received?
