Symptoms appear on leaves and grains as circular lesions with dark brown margins, each with a grayish white center surrounded by an irregular ring. The lesions later coalesce, resulting in drying of the entire leaf and discoloration of grains. Seedlings grown from infected grain can become blighted, resulting in rotting and death of the seedling.
