Citrus canker caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri on highly susceptible Mexican lime var. taiti. (A) Lesions on the leaves with raised necrotic centers surrounded by yellow halos. (B) Note the raised, corky lesion and halo extends along the side vein on the leaf. (C) the large canker lesion on the stem becomes sunken and craterous as it expands, smaller stem lesions are raised. (D) canker lesions may occur on the stem of the fruit as well as the fruit surface of susceptible varieties like lemon (Mexican lime)
