A. Jaffee, and E. I. Zehr. Assistant Professor, Division of Nematology, University of California-Davis 95616; and Professor, Department of Plant Pathology and Physiology, Clemson University, Clemson, SC 29634-0377. Plant Dis. 71:832-834. Accepted for publication 26 December 1986. Copyright 1987 The American Phytopathological Society. DOI: 10.1094/PD-71-0832.

The ability of the fungus Hirsutella rhossiliensis to suppress Criconemella xenoplax on peach seedlings in steamed soil in the greenhouse was studied. Suppression was observed in five of nine experiments. Addition of KCl to the soil did not affect the level of suppression but appeared to stimulate parasitism in one experiment.
