A virus isolate was purified and characterized as chrysanthemum strain of cucumber mosaic virus (CMV-CI), based on host reaction, in vitro properties, particle morphology (29 nm), molecular weight of coat protein subunit (24.5 kDa), nucleic acid (five RNA species), and serological relationships with other cucumoviruses. |
