USDA APHIS issued an Interim Rule which amends the Karnal bunt regulations to remove certain areas or fields Texas.

The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has issued an Interim Rule which amends the Karnal bunt regulations to remove certain areas or fields in Baylor, Knox, Throckmorton, and Young Counties, TX, from the list of regulated areas based on our determination that those fields or areas meet criteria for release from regulation. The rule takes effect on April 7, 2008 with public comments accepted through June 6, 2008.
