reopening the comment period on its interim rule for citrus canker quarantine
regulations.

March 14, 2008 is the due date for Letters of Intent for the USDA-CSREES National Research Initiative competitive program in Plant Biosecurity. This program supports integrated activities that fill gaps in knowledge on high consequence pathogens or arthropods of economic/social impact to the United States. USDA APHIS is reopening the comment period on its interim rule for citrus canker quarantine regulations because APHIS plans to remove an exception for calamondin plants after several calamondin plants growing in a quarantined area were found to be infected with citrus canker.
