A Collaboration of Scientists

The American Phytopathological Society has joined efforts with the Society of Nematologists and the Mycological Society of America. We welcome you to join us August 25-29, 2001, in Salt Lake City, UT, as they present a superior joint meeting. The appropriate theme selected is “Intersociety Cooperation and Collaborations.”

This event is a great way to end your summer. Experience an excellent technical program, make rewarding connections, and visit a city with spectacular scenery. The program committee and leaders are planning
to deliver cutting-edge information and technology on plant pathology, mycology, and nematology through high-quality technical sessions, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and oral and poster presentations. There will be unlimited possibilities for exchanging ideas and numerous opportunities for you to develop professionally. You can increase your awareness and build your knowledge by attending the wide variety of sessions. By participating in one of the many social events, you can network with new people, alumni, and colleagues.

The exhibit hall will be waiting for you to visit and explore all the new innovations in technology. Make the most of the meeting by spending time with the exhibitors. You can learn more about their products and services as they share the most up-to-date information. This is another great way to keep informed and increase your awareness.

Salt Lake City has spectacular scenery and appealing adventures waiting for all visitors. Mountains, water, and beauty surround the city. There are the amazing peaks of the Oquirrh and Wasatch mountain ranges and the picturesque Great Salt Lake. Make time to try fly fishing in the nearby Provo River or enjoy the many historical and cultural experiences available. Salt Lake City is home to the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Kennecott Copper Mine. Salt Lake City will be hosting the 2002 Winter Olympics. You will not want to miss the opportunity to visit the slopes, bobsled luge track, and the Olympic Village.

Exciting things are sure to happen with this large collaboration of scientists. Be a part of this exceptional event and reserve space on your calendar today for August 25-29, 2001.
