ICPP2018 - Thank You!
With more than 2,400 attendees, dozens of sessions, and numerous other activities, ICPP2018 was a week to remember. Thank you to all the presenters and attendees for making it a huge success! If you couldn't make it to Boston, view the opening and Monday plenary sessions online, and look for recordings of all the sessions in the coming weeks. You can also visit Twitter and Facebook for highlights. Thank you again, and we hope to see you in Cleveland for Plant Health 2019!

Shamoun and colleagues report that Phytophthora ramorum has been detected occasionally in nursery seedlings in British Columbia and on Vancouver Island but has yet to be detected in the wild or in eastern Canada. Open access.

Using a new mathematical model that properly normalizes for the level of disease control, Elderfield et al. demonstrate that the best strategy is almost always to spray fungicides in a mixture.

Plant Disease - MEDLINE
The APS application to include Plant Disease in PubMed Central was recently accepted by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. This means that the journal's feature articles and research papers will be included in the metadata downloads sent to MEDLINE and should be discoverable early next year. Plant Disease joins Phytopathology and MPMI in this important resource.

Plant Health 2019, the APS Annual Meeting, is now accepting submissions for special sessions, field trips, and workshops. Submit your ideas now through September 7, 2018.
Annual Meetings Board
 
The Annual Meetings Board is looking for a new member with expertise in molecular plant–microbe interactions. This volunteer will contribute to planning the scientific programs of the 2019, 2020, and 2021 annual meetings. Please submit one or paragraphs that describe your interest in joining via email by September 7.
