SCIENCE
Plant Disease
Mondello and colleagues review 15 years of trials for management of GTDs. These diseases have been associated with many pathogens, complicating not only diagnosis but also management. Open access.
MPMI
Lorrain and colleagues use comparative transcriptomics to study host specificity of Melampsora larici-populina. Host specificity was exhibited by only a fraction of expressed genes, and many encoded putative small secreted proteins. Open access for a limited time.
Phytopathology
C. C. Mundt examines the practical application of combining resistance genes for plant disease control, including the gaps in knowledge that must be closed to employ this potentially valuable method of disease control. Open access.
