Graduate Student Travel Awards

A monetary award of $500 can be used to support travel to a professional scientific meeting.  An applicant may apply for the award to attend the Annual Meeting of the American Phytopathological Society or another meeting that relates to the student's research project.  Eligible applicants must currently be enrolled in a graduate program within the Potomac Division or be conducting their thesis research at a research facility within the Division.

A complete application will include the following:

1. The student's curriculum vitae (maximum of four single-spaced typed pages, 12-point font
2. A one-page letter outlining why the selected meeting would enhance his/her professional development
3. A letter of support from his or her major advisor. 

All application materials must be e-mailed as attachments to the current Vice President of the Potomac Division.  Travel Award application process is closed.
