Nominations are invited each year for the Pacific Division EARLY CAREER AWARD. This award was established in 1999 to honor selected individuals belonging to the Pacific Division with 10 or fewer years of postgraduate experience and/or service. The award can be for a single outstanding contribution or for sustained significant notable contributions to plant pathology in extension, research, teaching or industry. Nominees must also be active members of the Pacific Division. Additional information and previous winners can be found on the Early Career Award website. Nominations may be made by any member or group of members belonging to the Pacific Division. The Early Career Award is to be awarded as appropriate only in years when exceptional candidates are nominated. No more than one award will be given each year.
Prepare a nomination statement (no more than two pages double-spaced) giving the name, year and name of institution granting degrees, current position and affiliation of the nominee. Include a description of the accomplishments and any supporting citations or other material that qualify the nominee for the award. Prepare an accurate biographical sketch of the nominee not exceeding 1,000 words.All documents (nomination statement and biographical sketch) should be combined into one .pdf file and sent via e-mail by April 30, 2013 to:Themis J.
