The APS-CD Travel Award is intended to increase opportunities for students attending the Division Meeting. Three awards of $1,000 each will be available to APS-CD student members giving oral presentations at the division meeting. A resume or CV, two recommendation letters (one should be from the thesis advisor) and a 3-4 paragraph essay explaining his/her vision and goals as it relates to plant pathology research should be submitted to the APS-CD Secretary-Treasurer. Students must:a. be enrolled as a regular student in an accredited University in the Caribbean, Greater and Lesser Antilles, Central and South America or active members working in subtropical or tropical world zones at the time the paper is submittedb. be a member in good standing of the Division at the time the paper is submittedc. be sole or senior author of the paperd. present the paper orally at the annual meeting of the DivisionStudents who receive an award will not be eligible to apply for an award the following year. Preference will be given to students who have never received a division travel award. Students who receive a travel award will compete in the student oral paper competition.
