The annual meeting of the APS North Central Division will be held June 21-23, 2009
at Iowa State University, Reiman Gardens, Ames, Iowa.

Guests are encouraged to stay at the Gateway Hotel. Please contact the Gateway Hotel (www.gatewayames.com). Rates for the rooms are $84 per night for single or double occupancy, plus applicable taxes. A block of rooms will be reserved at this discounted rate until May 29, 2009.

Call for Abstracts
The DEADLINE for submitting abstracts is May 25, 2009!
You are invited to submit abstracts for the 2009 North Central Division Meeting.  Students are encouraged to enter the student oral competitions (see "Call for Graduate Student Oral and Poster Competitions link above), but they may enter only one paper in each competition. All other papers, except those given by symposium speakers, must be presented in poster format. Abstracts must be submitted online (see instructions below), and the $45 fee for your submission(s) will be collected when you register for the meeting.  We encourage graduate students to participate in the competition - please check the box "This paper is for the student paper competition" in the online submission form. Below are the basic instructions for submitting your abstract

1) Go to: http://meeting.apsnet.org/Login.cfm 
2) Enter Username and Password (call APS Headquarters toll free at 1-800-481-2698 if you have forgotten it or need assistance)
3) Click Submit/Edit/Review Abstract
4) Click on APS North Central Division 2009 Meeting
5) Scroll to the top of the page and start with entering the contributor information
(also verify that your name and ID number appear at the top in bold)

Please note that only those registering for the FULL meeting can register online.

Please register via fax or mail if:
• you are registering only for workshops
• you are NOT a current member of APS
• you are receiving a complimentary registration
• you are a symposium speaker
• you are not attending the FULL meeting

The registration fee for the full meeting includes tickets for:
• the opening reception/social on Sunday evening
• lunch, the pre-dinner social, and the banquet dinner on Monday
• the awards lunch on Tuesday
• refreshment breaks on Monday and Tuesday

One-day registrations include meal/social tickets for the day requested, NOT all three days. Spouse/accompanying guest registration includes tickets for the evening events (lunches are not included).
