APS leaders will provide helpful hints and suggestions to ensure your first meeting is one of the best! This year even more connections will be provided for you through new networking opportunities, but you must register to be connected. Social Gathering in the Mercado with Exhibition and Posters4:00—6:00 p.m.This will be your first opportunity to connect with colleagues and expand your global network in the industry by meeting with exhibitors. Scientific posters will be on display. Watch for new interactive areas in the hall this evening as well as throughout the week. Light refreshments with a beverage ticket are included with registration. A few culinary delights in the Mercado (Mexican market) might include: queso fundido, carnita, arroz, and pepper poppers. Academic, government, and industry employers are invited to join the event to network with prospective employees. Light refreshments will be served. Academic Unit Leader Meeting8:00 a.m.—11:00 a.m. This focused meeting provides a platform for plant pathology department heads/chairs, academic unit leaders, or their representatives, from the U.S.A. and international institutions, to meet with colleagues, review priority issues, and learn more about the APS Academic Unit Leader Forum (AULF). Ticket includes cost of breakfast.
