2017 APS Annual Meeting: Pitch 120
Sponsored by the Office of Public Relations & Outreach (OPRO), the Pitch120 Training & Practice Session is a free workshop. OPRO Board members will provide training to attendees on how to “pitch” your research in two minutes, using straight-forward, clear and interesting approaches. We will build off the 2016 on scientific communication principles from the importance of knowing and understanding your audience, to the importance of effectively describing your research using layperson terms. The goal of this networking event is to not only equip members with the skills they need to effectively communicate their science to a wide audience, but also to participate in a Pitch120 contest to be held in 2019!
Get a head start on your Pitch120! Watch the premeeting training video to see good and bad examples of Pitch120 presentations along with tips on how to make yours even better.
