![]() APS • SON • MSA Joint Meeting August 25-29, 2001 Salt Palace Convention Center Salt Lake City, Utah POSTER INFORMATION A "poster" is a pictorial and written summary of research. A poster should be self-explanatory; it should concisely communicate results and include a clearly understandable conclusion. Extensive blocks of text should be avoided. The poster board (46 inches x 46 inches) and the abstract and location number in the upper left corner will be provided at the meeting. The area for the presentation text is 46 inches wide x 42 inches high. The area for the title and author is 40 inches wide x 4 inches high. Prepare the title and names of authors within the area indicated; do not exceed the prescribed space. Lettering for the title should be approximately 75 point or 28 mm high and readable from 2 to 3 meters. Lettering for the text should be approximately 30 point or 12 mm high and readable from 1 to 2 meters. All lettering should be in black. A few key citations may be given on the poster, and hand-out material is permitted. Prepare the title, authors' names, text, graphs, photos, captions, etc., on paper or other material that is light enough in weight to be held by Velcro on the cardboard backing of the poster panels. The materials can be on one sheet so that it can be rolled up for easy transport to the meeting or can be on separate panels for individual mounting. Those who are not artists are encouraged to get help in preparing final graphic material. Poster presenters should provide their own Velcro, but a limited supply will be available on site. Do not use tape or pins and do not write on the poster panels. The boards are designed for Velcro only. If there are special needs, please contact the APS meeting manager.
