Getting to know and interact
with these plant health professionals is the main reason to participate
in the 2001 Joint Meeting. The added benefit to exhibitors is the
expanded audience represented by the combined meetings of three
societies. They are plant specialists working in areas of plant health
management, all with their own special focus.
The American
Phytopathological Society is an international organization
dedicated to the study and control of plant disease. APS offers a mix of
professionals specializing in plant disease.
The
Mycological Society of America is an international
organization dedicated to advancing the study of fungi, including
mushrooms, truffles, yeasts, lichens, plant pathogens, and medically
important fungi. Their interests cover the entire range of scientific
disciplines in such general categories as ecology-pathology,
systematic-evolution, genetics-molecular biology, and physiology.
The Society of
Nematologists, is an international organization that advances
the science of nematology in both its fundamental and economic aspects.
Its 675 members come from more than 60 countries worldwide.
