An index
to the lessons is provided by clicking the button in the left margin.
Each "lesson" file is linked from a corresponding entry
in the index. Simply click any entry to download the file to your
hard drive or to open it to your desktop. All lessons are
available here in a common word processing format called Rich
Text Format (.rtf).
The 5-digit numbers that
accompany the text throughout the lessons indicate the image number on the APS Plant
Disease Video Image Resource (videodisc). Image numbers also accompany many of the
definitions in the glossary. These numbers can be used to access the videodisc images by
using a key pad on a remote control for a videodisc player or by producing bar codes for
each image number and using a laser pen. Information on hardware and bar coding
software is provided with the videodisc or in the "Hardware" file available by
clicking the button at left.
