Figure 24. A cut border isolates a regenerated lodgepole pine stand from an adjacent, mistletoe-infested stand. The young regeneration established naturally after a clearcut. Some 10 years after establishment, the infested border was cut back about 20 meters, just farther than dwarf mistletoe seeds can shoot.
