| Figure 2. These images show the value of color infrared images. The first two show an agricultural field taken with normal film and color infrared film. The third is an image from one of NASA’s LandSat satellites. In the second and third images, the vegetation appears bright red due to the “Red Edge” discussed below. The LandSat image shows a wheat field (WSMV/HPV) that was infested by two viruses that killed the wheat.
