Figure 1. These are images of cotton fields infested with Cotton Root Rot from approximately 1927. They were all taken at an angle except (1c), so distances vary depending on the location in the image due to perspective. Image (1c) was taken from directly overhead. In (1c) scale is equal throughout the image, making it easy to determine how large this dead patch was. BACK
