Glass Spreaders
Take a glass rod approximately 6 inches long. Heat an area approximately 2 inches from one end over a flame until it can be bent to a 90-degree angle. Let cool.
Bacterial Strains
The following Pseudomonas aureofaciens strains are available on request.
Strain 30-84: Wild-type isolate that produces the orange phenazine antibiotics. Strain 30-84I: A derivative of strain 30-84 that does not produce AHL signal. It will produce phenazines if certain exogenous AHL signals are provided. Strain 30-84Ice: A derivative of strain 30-84 that does not produce phenazines, but does produce AHL signal. Strain 30-84Gac: A derivative of strain 30-84 that does not produce any AHL signal.
