Name     Close Job Number 589 Job Title Agricultural Biologist - Fargo, ND Research Farm Job Category Field Scientist Field Of Study Agriculture Job Details The Agricultural Biologist will be responsible for: Annual crop management including planting, fertilization, irrigation, etc. Test set-up and maintenance to include: location of trials, infestation of target pests (insects, diseases, etc.) and other testing practices. Spraying rating and summarization of trial results. Data entry Work with Sales and Tech Service colleagues in coordinating tours associated with on-research farm commercial trials. Land use planning, including GLP and non GLP studies. Work place safety. (Including General work area, equipment, pesticides, etc.) The is an introductory Biology Position, therefore the successful candidate will be required to relocate within the United States for continued growth and development in 5-7 year time period. Job Requirements Required: MS or Phd degree in Weed Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Soil Fertility or related field. 3 years of practical agricultural field experience. Experience in field test plot design. Demonstrated leadership skills. Team oriented, strong communication skills. Ability to understand data, and to make decisions and advocate for projects based on that data. Incumbent must reside within a 1-hour commute to Fargo, ND. Incumbent must be willing and able to relocate in 5-7 years.
