The applicant must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Extramural funding will be vital for maintaining a viable research program and should be obtained from multiple sources. Duties include: identification and development of research objectives; publication in refereed journals, Experiment Station Bulletins, popular press articles, and mass media and electronic communications that support the MSUCares.com web page with plant pathology/nematology information; collaboration with other researchers and extension personnel in the planning and implementation of field activities and field days for growers and the agricultural industry.
